I'm looking...

Watched Alice and Wonderland last night and was reminded of my favorite quote in that movie: 

The Mad Hatter to Alice...  "You're not the same as you were before.  You were much more 'muchier'.  You've lost your muchness... in there (pointing to her gut), something's missing." 

Muchness in the dictionary means "the quality or state of being in great quantity, extent or degree." Today I am looking for my muchness.

Eight is great...

Ben's Baptism day...

Ben turned eight on January 6th and was baptized by his dad, on February 5th.  It was a VERY special day filled with lots of love, family, and friends.

Ben LOVES his new scriptures.  He reminds us everyday that we need to read them together as a family.  What a good example... he is certainly keeping us on our toes. Guess I need to step it up.



Pioneer Day...

July 4th... Pioneer Day.  So thankful for the bravery of the Mormon pioneers and their strength of character.  Thank you for your tremendous sacrifice.

Hanging out with our kids is my favorite place to be.

How does our garden grow...

Good times planting a neighborhood garden complete with potatoes, corn, pumpkins, squash, beans, etc.  We have such wonderful neighbors and friends.  Thanks to the Condes for donating the soil and water.  So whos turn is it to water?

Mayor's Regonition Award...

During May, Rachel received the Mayor's Community Youth Recognition Award.  Each year one student from each elementary school in Nebo School District is nominated by his/her Principal or teacher to receive this award.  They kept the reason for the award a surprise until that night.  Apparently, Rachel organized and headed out a large group of kids that went to the principles office to see if they could get permission and cleaning supplies to help clean up all the graffiti on the bathroom stalls.  They used many of their recesses to help with the clean up.  She also gave a small pep talk at one of the assembelies asking the kids to help keep the school graffiti free.  This was all news to me and Alex.  Way to go, Rachel!! We are so happy that you are choosing to make a difference!

Catching up... the story of my life...

I've been reminded by many that it's time to update my blog.  Look for daily posts this week as I try to play catch up.  Not so many details, but lots of pictures to come.
